Baseball-Inspired Monies

The US Mint Curved Coin is the First of Its Kind

Fans of baseball will be giddy over the US Mint Curved Coin, which is the first of its kind. A collector's coin, it is shaped like a baseball, the image of which is displayed on one side with a baseball glove on the other. These unique monies are created to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in July.

Available in different denominations including five dollar gold coins, one dollar silver coins and half-dollar clad coins, the US Mint Curved Coin is being produced as per the National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Act, which passed in 2012. Only 1.2 million of the coins will be made, so people will have to act fast to get their hands on such historical merchandise.
