Louis Vuitton Invokes 70's City Trekkers for Spring 2010

The amazing foot-high afros matching each models natural haircolor made it difficult to focus on the clothing at Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2010 show.  Wednesday’s runway show at the Louvre in Paris gave the label a new way to showcase their purses, in what designer Marc Jacobs called "city utilitarianism."

Each model came out in a unique hodge-podge of layered tops and bottoms, in all different textures and patterns.  Colors were typically Spring pinks, blues, and greens, with the added twist of 1970’s tan leather.

Models carried LV satchels across their bodies, and wore wild colored clogs and boots with Native American-inspired feathers jetting off in all directions.  In a way, they look as is they were headed to a fashionable street protest somewhere on campus.
