This unusual vending machine is a recent addition to the Mitsui Repark parking lot in Okayama City. You won't find any chips, candy or carbonated beverages at this machine. Despite its convenience, you won't even find an item that can be consumed right away. This vending machine only dispenses bottles of fish stock, commonly used for seasoning and to prepare soups.

Since the parking lot is heavily trafficked area, the fish sauce vending machine attracts quite a lot of attention. People have flocked to the vending machines to snap pictures and line up to make a purchase from this novelty vending machine.

The vending machine dispenses two types of fish sauce, one economical and another premium grade. So far, the vending machine has been a huge success, selling an average of about 200 bottles a day.
