The Stunning 'Harvest Dome 2.0' Floats Along the Water in New York City

Located in the Bronx River in New York City, this upcycled umbrella artwork floats along the water in an awe-inspiring fashion. Created by the husband-and-wife team of Amanda Schachter and Alexander Levi of SLO Architecture, the 'Harvest Dome 2.0' is an incredibly imaginative creation.

Suffering the heartbreaking loss of their first dome creation while it was being installed, this second attempt was made possible by the wonderful avenue of a Kickstarter campaign. The umbrella artwork was created with the skeletons of 450 discarded umbrellas and not only looks amazing, but also provides a message that one person's trash, really is another's treasure. The creators of this remarkable installation state that the best way to view the inventive structure is on a kayak in the water about two or three feet away.
