Home House Bar's Ultra-Modern Renovation by Zaha Hadid

The Home House is London’s most exclusive members-only club and the bar located in Number 21 has just been given a futuristic facelift by the talented Zaha Hadid architects.

The stunning photographs shown here are by Luke Hayes and show the dramatic new structure that now graces the traditionally finished room. Modern machining processes have allowed this organic, fluid bar to be created with an almost automotive feeling. The shiny silver finish adds to the space-age effect which contrasts fabulously with the historic club's interior.

From Yatzer:

"We are building the future in a space from the past. The Home House design is architectural discourse of contrasts." states Hadid. "For the bar at Home House, we wanted to create an environment where the bar completely dominates the space. Using a dynamic vertical gesture of fluidity, we were able generate an exciting dichotomy with the Cartesian arrangement of the Georgian space."

"As with our architecture, where we have created inhabited structure, members and guests occupy the bar at Home House instead of simply standing in front of it. They become part of the experience."
