Uber Unveils Air Taxi Cabin Designs at Uber Elevate In Washington

Uber recently debuted its Uber Air taxi cabin designs at Uber Elevate. The conference is aptly named as it's Uber's flying taxi conference in Washington, D.C.

The futurist cabin was built with designer Safran Cabin and is able to seat up to four passengers. Uber Elevate's Head of Design, John Badalamenti stated: "Starting with the customer experience, it’s highly considered from the inside-out, yet extensible across different fuselage profiles, and carefully engineered with a path to certification." The design is not yet functional, so to give customers a realistic experience, Uber partnered with Bipolar Studio to give attendees a VR simulation.

The public launch of the Uber Air taxi cabin is predicated for 2023 in Los Angeles and Dallas-Fort WOrth/Frisco Texas, giving consumers an aerial taxi-hailing platform.
