Overly Minimalist Logo Makeovers

The Twitter Logo Proposal by Roberto Manzari is Flat & Geometric

Minimalist, flat design might be in, but the Twitter Logo Proposal takes it a bit too far. Reduced to a couple of geometric shapes that would barely recall the original design save for the same blue colorway, people will most likely rebel against the concept, as Fast Co Design essentially has. Of course, the move away from a good thing is never entirely welcome as was the case with the Gap redesign four years ago.

Then again, the Twitter Logo Proposal, which was conceived by Milan-based designer Roberto Manzari, could easily go down the road of the Starbucks makeover that was eventually embraced wholeheartedly. Of course, that simplified logo wasn't as drastic.
