Tweet-Generated Holiday Sweaters

Budweiser UK's Twitter Knitting Machines Make Sweaters

Each time the hashtag "jumpers4des" is used, Budweiser UK’s Knitbot Twitter knitting machines gets to work. Instead of people griping about having to put on Christmas sweaters, now there’s a demand for holiday sweaters and Twitter users can help to "knit" with the power of their tweets.

The campaign started on November 26th, to coincide with Budweiser UK’s limited edition Christmas jumper packs. With enough people using the "jumpers4des" hashtag, Budweiser is able to produce a ton of red and white sweaters that read "Merry Christmas, Celebrate Responsibly."

The Knitbot will keep making sweaters until December 6th and then Budweiser fans will have a chance to win one of the limited Budweiser holiday can packs with one of the knitted pieces. But if you’re not one of the lucky winners, the sweaters will also be available in stock at stores across the UK.
