Transportable Homeless Shelters

The Urban Rough Sleeper Backpack Helps Support the Homeless

Concerned by his exposure to the plight of the homeless, Ragnhild Lübbert Terpling, graduate of the Kolding School of Design, designed an easily transportable homeless shelter to support homeless people living on the streets.

The urban rough sleeper backpack provides storage, shelter and mobility, thereby improving the quality of life of the impoverished. Expansion into a tent-like configuration provides accommodation for sleeping, while compression permits the storage of essential items.

The objective is to promote the tent to a general audience as camping equipment, with 10% of profits donated to those without sufficient shelter for a free urban rough sleeper. Terpling presents an innovative and multifunctional product that turns a piece of camping equipment into a home for the homeless.
