The Transformer TX Project Seeks to Create a Militarized Flying Car

DARPA is now taking bids for its Transformer TX project. This project seeks to create an armored flying car. The flying car would be modeled after a Humvee and be able to seat four soldiers.

While the Transformer TX project does sound a little ridiculous, I wouldn't be surprised to see a viable flying car come out of it. The military has nearly unlimited funds to spend on R&D, which means that a flying car may be a reality sooner rather than later.
