Foam-Bodied Beach Cruisers

The Toyota Me.We is a Lightweight EV with a Foam Body and Bamboo Floors

The new Toyota Me.We is as amorphous a concept car as they come. Designed by Jean-Marie Massaud, the Me.We, in Toyota's words, was created to increase the capability, quality and pleasure of the car. The mini is an EV powered by four in-wheel motors. The Me.We. keeps things light (it weighs just 1,653 pounds) with its bamboo floors, aluminum frame and foam body panels.

The Toyota Me.We has a unique feature in that all of its windows can be rolled down. A waterproof neoprene luggage cover can be used to keep rooftop items dry and a folding bench allows the Me.We to act as a pseudo pickup truck.

The Toyota Me.We is as out-there as concept cars come. That being said, the concept does have features that could be implemented in future Toyota models, at least from a structural standpoint. Check out the video to see Moussad describing the Toyota Me.We in further detail.
