The Touch of God Photo Series Captures Grim Exorcism Rituals in Swaziland

Touch of God is an uncompromisingly dark photo series, put together by photographer Kyle Meyer, that captures exorcism rituals at the Bekzandla Church of Zion in Swaziland. The photos depict exorcism rituals that involve putting individuals through physical pain to flush evil spirits out of their bodies.

Interestingly, Meyer was identified by the church's pastor Jeffrey Mdalodze as a prophet whose arrival had been foretold by a divince prophecy. He was then baptized by being forcibly submerged underwater while the pastor dealt him blows to cleanse his soul. At this point, he was welcomed into the church and allowed to record the exorcism and healing rituals that make up Touch of God.

The photos show demons being driven from the body in numerous ways including forceful beatings, burnings and vomiting.
