Colorful Celebratory Illuminations

This Torino Lighting Installation is for Italy's 150 Birthday

The Torino Lighting Installation, designed by architects Italo Lupi and Milan-based practice Migliore + Servetto Architetti Associati, was a design concept selected as the winner of the 'Look of the City of Torino 150.' The Look of the City selected the special "urban outfit" as the winning installation for the competition which is celebrating the 150th anniversary of Italy's unification.

The Torino Lighting Installation, "torino + light + Italian colors," has been installed atop the tallest building in Turin, the 'Mole Antonelliana.' Three rectangular steel frames with red, white and green LED lights are suspended atop the historic landmark at approximately 100 meters high in the first Italian capital city. The celebration for the 150 anniversary of Italian unification will take place for the duration of 2012.
