Otherworldly Timber Spiral Staircases

Atmos Studio Created a Breathtaking & Eerie Staircase Design

Atmos Studio designed a hauntingly beautiful and incredibly mesmerizing timber spiral staircase as a sculptural centerpiece for a recently opened restaurant in Mayfair, London. The construction is made out of laminated oak and it descends from the ground floor to the basement bar, connecting the two spaces with vigor and effortless fluidity. The design is "built around a concealed steel and plywood core," which allows for it to float freely.

The interior design of the restaurant was conceived by Rose Murray and Atmos Studios based on the design of its intricate timber spiral staircase on the theme of "dwelling and re-imagining of familiar elements." The multidisciplinary practice's composition has an almost otherworldly construction that does not only elegantly allow for two existing spaces to interact with each other but also instills a natural ambiance with an indoor fashion.
