Tim Hortons and Loop are Introducing Reusable Cups & Containers

Tim Hortons and Loop are teaming up for a pilot program that will give guests the option to pay a deposit and get their order in a reusable and returnable cup or food container. In the fight against single-use plastic waste, this returnable cup and food packaging program helps to circulate packaging that's professionally cleaned and sanitized by Loop.

To make the program as easy as possible for people to participate in, the zero-waste platform plans to introduce drop-off locations at restaurants and other locations. Tim Hortons and Loop are set to start testing the pilot program in 2021 at select Toronto restaurants. In February, Tim Hortons is also planning to give away almost two million reusable cups as part of its commitment to reusable cups and a sustainable future.
