Tie-break is an All-Weather Chair Made from Tennis Nets

Furniture made out of tennis equipment doesn't sound so comfortable, at least until you see Tie-break. Tie-break is a new piece of outdoor furniture made using tennis nets. The chair is designed to be both comfortable and weather-resistant.

Tie-break was designed by Studio Bertjan Pot for German brand Richard Lampert. The chairs fill a void between the two types of garden furniture: the type that is stiff and rainproof and the type that is comfortable, yet ruined by any sort of weather. Studio Bertjan Pot's decision to use tennis netting to craft this chair is genius, as tennis netting is all-weather and has always looked quite comfortable to lie upon. Tie-break is one of the more creative pieces of sports furniture around and debuts just in time for the semifinals of the Australian Open.
