The Thinker Sculpture by Steven Harrington Sparks a Conversation

This porcelain statue of The Thinker sculpture isn't the one that you're used to seeing. Instead of a man hunched over in deep contemplative thought, Steven Harrington created an abstract head with a protruding nose and engraved lines to form the image of swooping hair.

The concept behind the design by the California artist, is that he wanted to spark a conversation between the piece and the eyes that view it. Therefore involving the public into the creative process. Once looks at The Thinker sculpture and first compares to the classic the reminiscing marble man by Auguste Rodin. Then you notice the wave in the hair, the mouth and nose proportions and the marks that indicate eyes or eyebrows.

There will only be a limited amount of these sculptures released by Steven Harrington.
