Smart Self-Watering Planters

The Parrot Pot Was Finally Released in Finished Form at CES 2016

Paris-based firm Parrot has unveiled 'The Parrot Pot,' a self-watering planter that can keep your plant automatically hydrated for up to a week at a time.

The original prototype was teased last year, but the finished product was officially released at the CES 2016 festival in Las Vegas. The smart pot contains various sensors that detect and measure moisture, fertilizer and light levels. If any of the levels become too low, an alert will be sent to your phone to notify you about your plant's health.

Each pot also holds about two liters of water at a time, and 'The Parrot Pot' will automatically water your plant throughout the week. You can even set the planter to water-saving mode, which will actually keep your plant alive for up to a month at a time.
