Home-Inspired Public Sculptures

'The House as a Metaphor' Concept Art Makes You Feel Right at Home

'The House As A Metaphor' is an interesting series of conceptual art sculptures by artist Michael Jantzen that takes the idea of a house and juxtaposes it by incorporating symbolic shapes.

All of Jantzen's house sculptures are monochromatic and are made using a single material to build the house and the added on shapes. His houses have been transformed to range from a house on stilts, to a house on wheels, to a house on a rocker and a house with an orbiting door.

Jantzen aims to explore the house symbol by adding simple interventions that completely change the interpretation altogether. These ten sculptures are intended to be large public art installations in the future.
