The Aptera Motor Company has revealed their Aptera typ-1 which can reach an outstanding 230MPG while traveling at 55MPH. The Aptera type-1 uses a diesel-electric hybrid powertrain and is capable to race from 0-60 in less than 10 seconds. It uses Nickel-zinc (NiZn) batteries which is different from most hybrid automobiles.
The vehicle is estimated to sell for about $20,000 although no launch date has been given.
