Amazon Moves Into New Sector with 'The Amazon Insurance Store'

E-commerce giant Amazon has announced the launch of The Amazon Insurance Store in the United Kingdom. The new platform intends to offer UK-based customers a new and convenient means of shopping for home insurance.

Overall, The Amazon Insurance store aims to make home insurance buying easier by leveraging Amazon's customer experience tools and designs. It features like-for-like quote comparisons from three firms, a simplified and easy quote questionnaire, and a checkout experience that is directly linked to amazon.co.uk.

"Finding the right home insurance policy can be a time-consuming and confusing task, with quotes that often leave out essential coverage in order to lead with the lowest price. When we set out to create the Amazon Insurance Store, we wanted to improve the experience for customers shopping for home insurance so they could easily compare options and make an informed, objective decision," said Jonathan Feifs, general manager, Amazon’s European Payment Products.
