The Takaosanguchi station in Japan is set to be redesigned by the well-known architect Kengo Kuma. The proposed structure will have a timber canopied section to allow people to wait for the trains in shelter from the wind, as well as grab shade from the sun.
The inside section of the train station is also being updated so that it's more clear as to where travelers should go when entering. Everything leads towards the platforms to ensure people know where to go, and is done in a way that's both stylish and sophisticated. The plan is to have everything done by 2015, which isn't that far away and there is still a lot of work to do until then.
