Angular Artistic Getaways

This Sustainable Art Studio is a Haven for Art Lovers

When in need of the space and serenity required to focus on his artwork, the owner of this stunningly designed architectural space comes to this sustainable art studio to get away from it all and get lost in the creative process.

Designed by London-based studio de Rijke Marsh Morgan, this artistic haven in Deptford, London is designed in a way so that it includes sky-facing windows to make use of the natural light and provide shadow and glare-free daylight all day long.

Created using ETFE plastic windows, zinc panels and cross-laminated timber, the sustainable art studio uses solar panels on the roof for other energy needs.

"Our proposal was a simple, north-lit single volume, the form and materiality of which aimed to improve the character of the street without compromising its continuity," says the design team.
