Eccentric Surfboard Art

Hayden Cox Opened a Gallery for His Surf-Inspired Art Collection

Australian surfboard designer and founder of Haydenshapes Hayden Cox launches an surf-inspired art collection called 'Haydenshapes Bay 19 Gallery.' Through a triple collaboration with fellow surfer Craig Anderson and New York Artist Jason Woodside, the three men work together in creating art for their gallery event.

The gallery contains pieces of art that transitions as you walk through the space. Upon entering the room, there are brightly colored eccentric pieces of artwork that slowly turn into black and white marble prints with gray tones as you leave.

The featured piece in the surf-inspired art collection was created by Cox to represent an oceanic wave. It was made from sustainable Xanita X-board thick cardboard and measured nine feet high by 30 feet wide. To create a cohesive flow in the space the front of the wave is loaded with bright and eye-catching hues while the back is just black.
