Frank Gehry Has Designed a New Sunset Strip Structure

Legendary architect Frank Gehry has released his design for a new Sunset Strip Structure. Gehry's mixed use development will be brought to life by five distinct but interconnected buildings along L.A.'s iconic street.

Gehry wants to reinvigorate the strip which has since diminished in popularity in recent years. In his complex design, Gehry was loosely inspired by the Garden of Allah, an old mansion that was converted into a hotel built in 1913 on Sunset Strip. The hotel hosted some of Hollywood's biggest names, and Gehry wants to recreate those memories.

The complex will feature buildings of mixed heights and designs and Gehry says the reason for this is to complement the area's existing architecture. Also, Gehry wanted to create a complex that pays homage to and respects the diversity in its community.
