Contemporary Concrete Treehouses

The 'Sun Path House' is a Built as a Temple for Sun Worship

The 'Sun Path House' is a unique home built to resemble a treehouse but is also outfitted with luxury amenities. The modern home happens to be an extension to a 1930s bungalow in Miami Beach. The Sun Path House's most unique feature is its curved apex which traces the path of the sun on the longest day of the year.

Architect Christian Wassman's was tasked with the impossible project of creating a modern treehouse. Wasserman was forced to be creative and use the home's existing concrete base to build the elevated extension. The property is surrounded by trees and plants and even incorporates greenery within the interior, adding to the treehouse-themed experience. The interior consists of walnut floors and furniture, a terrazzo ground floor, and marine grade aluminum fittings.
