This vibrant space challenges traditional design, embracing eccentricities and fun over a banal and lifeless building face. Made from a stack of 12 colored layers, this rainbow-inspired structure features three elliptical skylights that allow its interior to bathe in natural light.
The open-concept space is bright from the outside in, lit up at night to reveal vibrant color hues. Upon entry, visitors are greeted by a cieling, adorned with dandelions that seem to float through the air. Instead of cold furnishing, guests are seated in a series of scattered chairs, displayed in a variety of rainbow tones, giving the Sugamo Shinkin Bank an optimistic and cheery vibe.
