Sudoku-Ball: Online & PVC

Sudoku-Ball started with the idea that it should be possible to extend the 2-dimensional samurai Sudoku games to closed 3 dimensional objects such as cubes, spheres and other geometric shapes.

The Dutch inventor Hans van Briemen studied what he calls "the beautiful isomorphism of magic squares and geometric shapes" and together with Marcel Lennartz of Lensoft, they developed the 3D Sudoku-Ball with a so-called "closed Samurai Sudoku network grid."

The result is a new 3D sudoku puzzle phenomenon that can be played on www.sudoku-ball.com and is expected to keep players busy for many challenging hours.

"What has begun as a unique idea has eventually cost us many month of development and mathematical struggle, but we are glad with the result," Briemen says. "Feedback from our Beta testers is excellent."

Besides the online version that can be played on any operating system that supports Java, the company is producing and marketing PVC Sudoku-Balls together with partners in Mexico and Europe. There are two types of Sudoku-Balls:
