If this subway slide was found in my local transit system, you can bet commuting to the Trend Hunter office would be a much more pleasurable experience than the one I currently endure each day.
Designed by Dutch firm HIK Ontwerpers, the subway slide (or "transfer accelerator" according to HIK Ontwerpers) will literally cut down travelling time for consumers as gravity will help them down stairways at a much quicker pace. Plus it's a slide people! When was the last time you got to indulge in playground equipment in an open public area?
Implications - Consumers have become tired of mundane subway commutes. In response, corporations are injecting fun elements to better their consumer relationships. Corporations can similarly develop stronger relationships with their customers through novelty gimmicks that promote playing.
