Bo Zhang Designs the Stretch Color Collection of Vases

Artist and the head designer of Desz Office Bo Zhang introduce the Stretch Color collection which is made up of three functioning vases that are made like an optical illusion. The designer nods to his "obsession with the color of the reconstructed space" as the influence and uses a gradation of tones to create the shape of a curved structure.

The designer is able to create the idea that it stretches out to the point that it disappears. Depending on which way the viewer looks at the vase, it can appear to either be 2D or 3D. The tonal gradient goes from a deep tone to light and is ultimately transparent as it is designed to follow the effect of the illusion.
