Crafted from 5-millimeter solid aluminum, the octagonal pan delivers heat retention comparable to cast iron while remaining lighter to handle. Its high, straight sides support a range of cooking techniques, while a removable cast-aluminum handle secured with a single stainless-steel screw allows for oven use, compact storage and easy replacement.
The accompanying lid draws inspiration from the Japanese otoshibuta drop lid, incorporating raised points on its underside to circulate moisture and create a self-basting effect during simmering and braising. Each STEKA pan is hand-finished, with production limited to 10 units per day to emphasize its artisanal construction.
