Elys Restaurant is Putting a Savory Twist on Stawberries and Cream

It's a tradition to enjoy strawberries and cream during Wimbledon but one Wimbledon restaurant is serving up its own creative interpretation on this classic pairing with Heinz Salad Cream (which was previously branded as Sandwich Cream). Heinz Salad Cream is comparable to mayonnaise, as the condiments contain the same ingredients yet Salad Cream uses more vinegar and less egg for a formula that's lower in fat.

Elys Restaurant within Wimbledon’s Elys department store is marking this year's tennis championships by pairing the tangy, savory Heinz Salad Cream with strawberries. Crafted by head chef Bernado Garea, the unconventional combination is said to be "a twist on a classic dish." Strawberries & Heinz Salad Cream will only be available for a limited time.
