Heritage-Inspired Tea Branding

The Olaya Spice & Tea House Brand Has Revamped Its Packaging

Olaya Spice & Tea House has been in business since 1894, and the brand's identity was recently revamped in order to combine its heritage with a more contemporary design.

The El Salvador-based family company enlisted the creative agency 'Elemasele Studio' to create its revamped brand identity. The result imagery used an accented 'a' as its primary logo, while minimalist black and white tins make up the rest of the packaging. The spices the brand offers come in black tins with white branding and small images of the spice themselves, while the tea tins come in white and are covered in small circular images of their contents.

The Olaya Spice & Tea House is able to maintain its heritage while also suiting the design expectations of the modern consumer.
