Elk Brewing Company Fuses Sour Beer Styles with Juice Concentrates

Gose, a sour beer style that originated in Germany, is the focus of two new summery fruit-infused beers from Elk Brewing Company.

The sour Watermelon Cucumber and Blueberry Cucumber beers were developed as a means of "pushing the standards of traditional styles," while also delivering refreshing new summertime beer options to consumers. For the creation of these two new sour beers, Elk Brewing Company teamed up with Old Orchard Brands, which provided the juice concentrates. Previously, Elk Brewing Company and Old Orchard Brands came together for the making of the PB & J'Ale'Y, another fruit-flavored beer, which is a popular choice.

Over the past few years, consumer interest in craft beer has skyrocketed and with it, so has an interest in experimental beverages, including sour beer styles.
