Fung + Bedford Creates the Sora Pendant Light for Frandsen

UK-based design studio Fung + Bedford creates the Sora Pendant Light for Danish imprint Frandsen. The light is inspired by the Japanese art of origami. The suspended light has a horizontal shape and is held up by two cords. It is also flanked by the intrusions on the side that appear to be wings, applied to create the illusion that the Sora light is floating in the air.

To illuminate the lamp, it boasts an LED strip light at the bottom to evoke a warm and soft glow. It spreads throughout the structure of the Sora, which is constructed from Tyvek. Tevyk is a synthetic material that is thin and similar to paper, made by compressing fibers together.
