Heat-Changing Solar Eclipse Mugs

These Mugs Change Colors When Hot Liquid is Added

With the first North American total solar eclipse in nearly 100 years coming up on August 21st, excited sky-gazers can celebrate the daytime darkness with these solar eclipse mugs. The decal on the mugs reacts to heat, changing from darkness to a full image when hot coffee or any other liquid is poured into them.

When cold, the mugs have images of the Sun's corona with a black space in the middle to represent the eclipse itself. Once liquid is poured in, the eclipse changes to reveal an image of the Sun on the colored side of the mug and the Moon on the black and white side.

The mugs hold 20 ounces of liquid, helping coffee drinkers to stay wired during the summer eclipse.
