Neglected People Portraits

Nuno Renato Emphasizes Societal Rejection by Creating Human Voids

Avoided, ignored or just completely neglected, there are many people who suffer societal rejection because no one seems to care enough about them.

Some of these neglected people include the homeless, the underprivileged youth and under appreciated workers, yet this group can also encompass unwanted babies and random strangers that we might bump into and ignore on a daily basis. Artist and photographer Nuno Renato wanted to emphasize the major gap in society that occurs when entire groups of people are rejected by it, so he creates voids where humans would be in his series entitled 'Reject.'

These striking blank spaces place a focus the ugly and inhumane distortion that societal rejection can cause to others.
