Sneaker-Shaped Swimming Pools

HORNBACH and 43einhalb Unveil the 'SneakerPool' at a Berlin Event

HORNBACH and sneaker retailer 43einhalb (also known as Heimat) have created a ginormous ‘SneakerPool,’ which takes on the form of the adidas ‘ZX 1000’ silhouette. The larger-than-life sneaker jacuzzi is 5.7 meters long and 202 meters high and is made from flexible tubing, MDF, rope, chicken wires, and tires from HORNBACH’s retail locations. The pool weighs in at 850 kilos and features orange laces, a beige and gray base, and a beige speckled outsole.

HORNBACH hopes that the ‘SneakerPool’ will "encourage people to be as creative as possible, develop their own DIY projects, and set themselves no limits." The ‘SneakerPool’ was first unveiled at an exclusive launch party, and HORNBACH made sure to record the process of its construction. Interested parties can view the finished product in ‘The Sneaker Pool’ video.
