The SlingsHOT Tea Cup Encourages You to Draw Back Your Teabag's String

Plenty of homewares designers have come up with clever solutions for squeezing the warm liquid out of teabags and retrieving them without scalding your fingers. The SlingsHOT Tea Cup takes a different approach to the usual development of wedge-like spoons, integrating instead a niche within the very drinking vessel that will keep you from dirtying any cutlery.

Where the rim of the mug meets the hook-shaped handle, a gap is hollowed out and almost entirely closed off, except for a slit across the top. When your loose leaf pouch has flavored your drink sufficiently, simply feed the tea bag's cord through the slot and tug it gently. Samir Sufi's SlingsHOT Tea Cup narrows here and creates a stopper to compress and strain the sachet.
