In an effort to re-imagine the skyscraper structure, a Mexico City architecture firm designed this 92-storey skyscraper concept that would include an entire city within it so tenants never have to leave.
Studio Cauchoua Torres Camilletti conceived of the structure to have two separate towers -- one for retail and business and one intended as living space -- connected by mid-air public transportation tubes. The building would also include fish farms, rice paddies and a recycling plant. The exterior features a modern algae facade.
Created for a competition in Hong Kong, the skyscraper concept has the two tower components so people feel like their work and personal lives are separate, while buses or trains would shuttle them back and forth.
