Lovable Lazy Lighting

Graeme Bettles' Sitting Lamp is Full of Personality

The Sitting Lamp is lovably lazy. Full of personality, it is a simple light fixture that boasts a couple of wooden legs in place of a traditional base. This added feature makes the Sitting Lamp look like its about to spring to life. Nevertheless, the legs serve a more practical purpose than giving the table lamp some cute character. The 'legs' can be used as book ends and hooks as well.

Created by Graeme Bettles, an art director and product designer at JWT Cape Town, the Sitting Lamp is currently in its prototype stage. It is made out of wood and metal hinges. He writes, "I made it to bring a smile to faces working late."
