Sara Shakeel's Shine On Exhibit Features a Redesigned Mercedes

The Shine On exhibit is a space-themed art show by Sara Shakeel. The Pakistani dentist turned to art to express her love of glitter and crystals. Shine On features a number of artworks decked out in shimmering elements that explore themes of human-centric design and time travel.

One notable piece is Shakeel's reinterpretation of Mercedes-Benz's classic SL 320 car. The modified vehicle is animated with digital projections and clad in a sparkling exterior, consistent with the artist's signature style. Digital artworks are also on display on an interactive wall in the exhibit.

The event is held at Munich's creative space Studio Odeonsplatz. Shakeel explains that she was attracted to the space for its ever-changing brand. "Like me, Studio Odeonsplats is optimistic, experiential, and focused on the joys of creativity and digitization."
