Fox newscaster Shep Smith reacted to the retreat of Newt Gingrich from the 2012 Presidential campaign, and his subsequent endorsement of fellow Republican Mitt Romney, in perhaps the most hilarious manner possible. Completely deadpanned, stoic and serious, he reads the response from Romney to the news, then comments "Politics is weird... and creepy... and now I know lacks even the loosest attachment to anything like reality."
As the 2012 Presidential campaign continues, announcements of candidates have become altogether regular with the recent drop outs of Gingrich and Santorum. However, what is irregular is a Fox news announcement that goes against Republicans, a largely publicized backer of the Fox corporation, and politics in and of itself. The video of Shep Smith is a hysterical display of the ridiculousness that has summarized the current Presidential election.
