Triangular Castle Pavilions

These Triangular Pavilions Grace the Entrance of the Sforzesco Castle

Italian architecture office Scandurra Studio has built two eye-catching pavilions outside the Sforzesco Castle in the city of Milan. The pavilions are one of the visual highlights of the upcoming 2015 World Fair which is to be held in Milan.

The pavilion project is inspired by the proportions and elements of prior expo gates as well as the city's own Duomo Cathedral. The end result is a pair of stepped and triangular-shaped lightweight structures. The white frameworks also serve as home to galleries which will function as information centers and ticket offices. Additionally, the buildings and surrounding plaza will be able to host a wide variety of installations and events.

The Sforzesco Castle pavilion gates will also offer informative multimedia displays, as well as conferences, meetings, debates and kids' workshops.Photo Credits: designboom, scandurrastudio
