Seung-yong Song Reimagines the Chair in His 'Objet' Series

Seung-Yong Song is a Korean designer behind the wonderfully inventive 'Objets' furniture collection. Objets is a set of chairs that are all designed to double as another piece of furniture. While there are plenty of multifunctional chairs in the world, not many of them are designed to work as ladders, clothes racks or private hideaways.

Each Objet in Song's series has a unique look that makes it look more like it belongs in a Dr. Seuss book than in a home. Objet E is a rocking chair clothesline that uses the rocking motion to help facilitate the drying of clothing. Objet B doubles as a ladder and is my favorite piece. Other Objets include a chair with a giant lampshade over it to provide privacy on-demand and a chair with a shelf as its backrest. You can check out Seung-Yong Song's Objet series here.
