Video Game-Inspired Parkour Gyms

This Gym Transformed to Resemble a Level from Sonic Forces

Sega's parkour gym invited fans of the brand's newest game, Sonic Forces, to participate in an obstacle course which resembled stunts from that of the video game.

In order to fully immerse participants, the Tempest Freerunning Academy in California transformed its facility to resemble the Green Hill Zone -- a reoccurring level that fans of the Sonic franchise will recognize. Jumping through hoops and leaping into foam pits are some of the tasks participants are required to undergo in the beginning stages of this course. As the player progresses, they graduate to more difficult stunts, similar to the level progression of a video game. When the stunts become too difficult for the participant, a professional athlete takes over, competing the course.
