Secante by l'Atelier Polyhedre Explores Elementary Design

We take advantage of the way our hands and our machines can sculpt beautifully organic forms from a variety of materials, but a collection called Secante by l'Atelier Polyhedre brings its admirer's attention to the assembly of elementary shapes.

A teapot and a pitcher make up the iconic project, presenting a reinvention of common objects that take on radically unconventional forms. The receptacle, handle, spout and base of both pieces reveal a genuine interest in the integrity of every part.

Cylinders, rectangular prisms and extruded squares and circles make up the geometric bodies of the uncommon crockery. The contemporary and abstract nature of the Secante by l'Atelier Polyhedre is further emphasized through the bold orange glazing of the high gloss ceramic carafes.
