Artist Sarah Otley Recreates the Magic of Stockholm with Her Pencil

New Zealand-born, Stockholm-based artist and architect Sarah Otley is a talented illustrator with a keen eye for capturing the spirit and mood of major cities in elaborate and detailed pencil portraits.

Sarah Otley's artistic recreations of Stockholm are stunning. She uses her illustrations to show off major tourist landmarks, local cultural heritage spots, and the unconventional and offbeat everyday Stockholm life to put together an incredible melange of illustrations that accurately captures Sweden's natural and slow-paced beauty.

Sarah Otley's day job as an interior architect at Monki (H & M's unorthodox and popular in-house fashion brand) allows her to hone and refine her illustration skills on a daily basis. Otley's "Stockholm Sketches" series will be exhibited in Gamla Stan, Stockholm from June 17 to 23, 2011.
