WeCycle Aims to Make Safer Cycling Happen in London By Tracking Journeys

Most cities were not designed to support the growing number of cyclists on the road, which is why this British transport startup is using their journey tracking app for safer cycling. WeCycle allows people on bicycles to track their route, which are compiled together in a heat map to provide useful information for city planners.

Based out of the UK, TravelAI developed the free iOS application with aims to quantify every aspect of the London cycler's life from monitoring journey times to travel speed. The app runs in the background and tracks bus and car travel as well. Users agree the data collected from their routes can be sent to TravelAI in their safer cycling mission.
