NBA team Sacramento Kings has debuted a new community esports tournament platform called 'The Realm' in partnership with Rival. The Realm will hold several online competitions for popular games, including NBA 2K, Fortnite, and Rocket League, to help the Sacramento Kings reach fans of all ages. One of the many collaborations Kings has had over the years is with Rival, an enterprise services company. Rival has already built community networks with other professional sports clubs in leagues.
All Sacramento Kings teams, including its G League team Stockton Kings and Kings Guard Gaming, will hold tournaments monthly for cash prizes, experiences, and other awards.
"The Realm and our partnership with Rival gives us the opportunity to engage with fans beyond the Sacramento region. As esports continues to grow, we are excited to offer our gaming community a place to connect with each other and the Kings franchise," said John Rinehart, Kings President of Business Operations.
